In December, January, February, and March, this is what we are waiting for, ‘the dog days of summer’ and we still are getting fresh stock and have a great selection of plant material.  Don’t let the heat and humidity deter you from buying and planting something new.  The only difference from planting in the spring or fall is that you have to be more diligent with your watering, and of course YOU have to take more breaks for a refreshment or cool dip in the pool.

Keep checking the Buffalo News for weekly specials, and don’t forget that August is American Cancer Society month here at Russell’s.

Continue to water your plant material and start checking for fungal diseases and insects, especially Japanese Beetles.

Have a great summer, stop in and say hi, stay cool.

God bless

Ken
